Don't Get Fooled

We got a warning e-mail from our Sheriff's department about a new phone scam going around. People's sick and evil nature never ceases to amaze me.

Apparently, these wack jobs are calling and pretending to be a person's grandson - claiming that they were in an accident and got arrested and need bail money. So far it looks like several people have sadly fallen for this scan.

Of course it wouldn't work with me since I don't even have a kid ... but what if they tried to pretend to be my brother? I'd hang up and call him back directly.

Don't EVER EVER EVER send money to someone who calls you on the phone. Even charities. Always request a letter in writing. There's too many scammers out there. Bastards.

This is a very old scam making a comeback apparently. There are scum-dogs everywhere these days.

Have a terrific weekend. :)
